DIY Ornament Wreath

The holiday season is here and what better way is there  to start off than a DIY project?!
I have been seeing these ornament wreaths all over the place and thought it would be a great, easy, and fun DIY project!

Here's what you'll need:
• wire hanger
• ornaments
• bow
• hot glue gun

I bought the ornaments (6 packs)  and the bow at the dollar store so the total cost of this project was around $7
If you already have some of the supplies even better!

First you take a wire hanger to shape your wreath. This also comes in handy when hanging it on the wall.

Bend the wire hanger into the shape you would like your wreath. I decided to go for the classic circle, but you can probably make another shape if you wish.

I purchased 6 packages of these ornaments from the dollar store in small and medium sizes. You can use the hot glue gun at this point to glue the caps on the ornament to make them more secure. I did not use hot glue for mine and they were fine. A few of them popped off but I just reattached them without the glue.

You begin to thread the ornaments onto the wreath as if you were beading a bracelet. I tried to thread the same on each side to make sure the wreath was even.

This is what the wreath looks like once it is finished being threaded with all of the ornaments.

I also purchased this bow from the dollar store and it fit perfectly. After attaching the bow my wreath was ready to hang!

You can decorate the wreath however you like with multiple bows or flowers but it may be easier to hot glue those types of accessories.

Here is a picture of the final project hanging on the wall! This project was very easy and took about an hour to complete. If you decide to hot glue each ornament I would set aside another hour for this DIY.

I hope you enjoyed this DIY project and love your wreath as much as I love mine!

Please let me know if you have any questions or if there are any other DIY projects you would like me to do a tutorial on.

Happy Holidays!!!

DIY Star Wars canvas!

My nephew is a big fan of Star Wars and wanted me to draw him a picture to hang on his wall. I had an extra canvas laying around and decided to paint one for him instead! This was a quick and easy project and you can choose any image to paint.

Supplies needed:
1 canvas
Pencil to draw outline
Acrylic paint in colors of your choice
Metallic spray paint (optional)

The first thing I did was spray paint the canvas in a metallic silver to get the shiny background.

I then used a pencil to draw the outline of the image. If you are not the best at drawing you can simply print out any image you are choosing to draw and then trace the outline on the canvas. The impression of the pencil will create an outline for you to re-trace in marker or paint.

I then used black paint to draw the outline of the storm trooper. Originally I left the metallic silver as the background but then decided to go back and fill it in white.

I finished by painting the letters and touching up any areas that needed a second coat.

Easy project and a one of a kind to hang on the wall!
