You can cut strips on the sleeves about 1/2 inch up until the already hemmed edge of the sleeve (the part closer to your elbow) and pull on them to make the fringe. Then you can just sew on the same end to the inside of the neck line so you can't see the hemmed end. My next post will be on how to do the fringe! That should do it! If you have any other questions let me know! Hope you like your shirt!Jaynehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12920854744212055894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2873165354140483327.post-33227056607132352442014-01-25T08:14:56.464-08:002014-01-25T08:14:56.464-08:00How do you attach the fringe? I just cut straight down the middle to make and used both sleeves for two layers of fringe. I cut the sleeves about the same width as the braids all around (1/2inch) and then pull them to stretch them out and I used the already hemmed edges of the sleeves to sew onto the front! I hope this helps! If not please ask more questions and I will be happy to answer! Thank you!! Instead of cutting the back as shown you can just cut it up higher instead of the three braids one is sufficient as if it were a regular tank top. I will definitely make sure to add a younger version of this tank and hopefully you will check back and see it as well as the other DIY creations I come up with for little girls!
